Keeping it Green

We believe in maintaining a carbon neutral workshop, purchasing and sourcing wood from FSC certified suppliers or reclaiming disused wood.  

As a One Tree Planted partner, we pledge to plant a tree with every table purchase.  We have assisted in reforestation efforts in fire damaged forests in California, receding parts of the Amazon, and reclaiming natural forestland in Indonesia.

We offset our electrical output by investing in wind power that matches our monthly consumption.

100% Handmade with Love

No funny business here.  We take pride in only working with solid wood and metal. We do not cover cheap composite material with wood veneer, we use whole pieces of wood. Our process involves the following:

1. Identify - We hand select small quantities of wood suitable of meeting the UMBUZO standard.  This process sometimes takes longer than making the furniture! 
2. Join - With a variety of ancient joining methods, we ensure that the piece is completely level with a flat surface and joined to perfection. 
3. Finish - Whether you are looking for a Japanese shou-sugi-ban finish or an industrial gray finish, we take our time in ensuring that the finish of your item is immaculate. 

All of our products are hand finished in the United States with a lifetime warranty.
